I have owned both, and really like both. I would have to go with Abu though because of the durability, while the PT lasted a while, the Torno's just keep going. Hopefully the Revo lasts as long.

I currently own 6 Revos (2 STX, 2 SX, 2 SC) and they are the best reels I've owned.  I plan on adding 2 more to replace some Curados I just sold.  Smooth, built exceptionally well, cast great.  And if something does go wrong, Abu's customer service is outstanding.

I can't speak for the Revo but the Energy is a very nice reel. I've been very please with mine. My dad has my oldest one. That one has to be close to 4 years old with no problems throwing nothing but big cranks.

I have several Quantum reels from the new Energy PT baitcaster to some pre PT version accurists. I love them all and have never had any issues with any of them. They cast as well as any other reels I've owned including my Shimano Curado.

Man, I am surprised the Shimano posse hasn't responded here. It usually does no matter what reel you ask about, they have to say Curado or Citica. ;)

Ya gotta give them a little time, I think they are tied up in the Curado vs Johnny Morris thread! :)
