Have been searching for quite some time now for stanley 3/8 or 1/8 spinnerbaits, double willow painted blades.White stripe,or chart, especially the white.Blades are basically tiger striped skirt mix black and white.Far as I can tell they dont make em any more.Used to buy em at K-mart upwards of about 7-8 years ago and havent seen them since.Believe it is a stanley wedge and not the titanium variety.when I lived up north OH was one of the best I ever used.Am looking to buy.

Any info? Cant find them on ebay either. Please PM me or email jstn_groom@yahoo.com

                                                                  Thanks fellow bassmates,tight lines

There is a place here called Sports Authority in St Louis that has Stanley Spinnerbaits. But I did not notice any painted or striped blades. But that is easy to duplicate.

I've used Stanley spinner baits since before the Wedge and I don't recall Stanley making painted blade spinner baits.

Justin, after discussing your question about Stanley spinner baits with a couple of my buddies they informed me are you crazy or what; Stanley did in fact make painted spinner baits. The baits in question were Stanley Jigs Super Scales Glitter Plus Painted Blades.

You can find these at another site.com

So I stand corrected, so please accept my humble apology :-[

Ahh,thats right  :D could not remeber the name "glitter plus" Thanks for the refresh there.Cheers.

The sports authoritys around here in my part of Florida dont carry stanleys at all any more, their selections of items are mostly saltwater as I live on the coast, same with kmart and wally world. For my bassin gear I am always better off to drive an hour and half to BPS or order on line.

Thanx for the replies guys if anyone sees any around somewhere, let me know.I dont have any exp in painting lures or anything as of yet.I am just now getting ready to start to buy items to repair/replace broken skirts,as most of the "pre-made ones I see on the market I dont like.

I think those striped baits may have worked so well for me when I lived in OH because its a dead on look alike for a couple small perch coming through the water.

I think I have some in my basement? I will check tonight for you. You can buy those tiger striped willowleaf blades on ebay as that is where I bought mine.

I just used an old Stanley Glitter bladed SB last weekend.  I don't remember them offering painted blades though.  These are merely wedge blades with a clear coat over the glitter.  Obviously they must have though.

None of the Stanley baits I found have the blades like you are looking for. Since I couldn't find any I made some in white and chart. on Booyah 3/8oz heads I had laying around. As soon as I get some batteries for the camera I will post some pics.

I urge you to reconsider.

Painting your own baits is alot of fun and makes then "yours"

I do this all the time.

I'll do it on any bait I have including the megabass hardbaits that have those beautiful finishes.

A pack of sharpies is a bass man's best friend.

If you really want to get fancy, some enamel paint and a few quality brushes.  finish with clear coat.

The ultimate would be an airbrush, but now your talking about a whole new hobby.

Here are some baits I made using painted blades, booyah heads and skirts that I made to match.
