low_pro Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Hmm...Got a suggestion, but I've already posted it 1296 times! : Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #12 (19.5 lb test) x2!! (Yes, he converted me) Only difference, for baitcasters I use orignal Hybrid, not Ultra Soft. 12lb has little stretch, very sensitive, and tough as nails! 15lb has more memory but still has the same characteristics.... Red Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 so your saying that the regular hybrid is better for casting gear than the ultra soft? or does either work on either rig and it is a preference thing...i am talking casting gear here cuz i dont have any spinning at the momnent Cliff Quote
Red Posted February 16, 2008 Author Posted February 16, 2008 well i got new line...i didnt get the ultra soft simply because i needed line right now and i have to order that stuff...maybe next time. i looked at all the stuff there was to choose from in academy today and i decided on PLine Floroclear, 10lb test. i spooled it onto my revo and hit the local tanks. i really like it so far. i dont know if it is the line or the fact i went down from 12 to 10 lb test but man i can cast a whole lot better now! further and with less backlash. and i managed to land a few bass(see outings section) thanks for the info on the lines, i think i will try the ultra soft next time i am in need of line Cliff Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted February 16, 2008 Super User Posted February 16, 2008 Nobody said anything about Gamma! So I will vote for the Gamma. Quote
HOIST-N-HAWGS Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Nobody said anything about Gamma! So I will vote for the Gamma. $$$$$$$$$$$$ It is very good line, yet as many times as I re-spool throughout the year it gets a bit pricey @ $28 per. I like the Halo for all my BC's Quote
fishing man Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 the main lines i like is suffix elite, and Berkley vanish. Quote

Pline is awesome, try the fluorocarbon. I use 6lb on spinning and 15lb on casting, stuff is incredible and least memory of any fluoro I've used. Quote
The Next KVD Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 14lb Triline Sensation or 15lb Vicious Fluorocarbon. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted February 17, 2008 Super User Posted February 17, 2008 Hey Cliff, Order a single spool of Ultra Soft. I finally broke down after reading RoadWarrior's posts and grabbed a spool. Now I have enough to last me for quite a while. It really is good line. It behaves like limp mono and it is very strong. Try it. Ronnie Quote
Gummybear Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I just bought my first Fluorocarbon line today. I got berkley vanish in 10lbs. I usually use the spiderwire mono. I would like any input anyone has on the vanish, thank you. ) Quote
