http://www.gambler-lures.com/swimblades1.html

Buy a swimblade online, and get two free gambler plastic baits of your choice.  I just placed a fat order.  Even if you hate the swim blade/chatterbait lures, at $6 per bait, you get two free $4 bags of bait.  You're still about $2 ahead.

As I mentioned in another post, I have having great success on all sorts of Gambler soft plastics.  This is a good chance to get some cool baits....  Cane Toads, Giggy Sticks, Senko-Style Aces, and other stuff.

Bait Monkey, I hope I have served you will, my liege.

LOL, it was destiny.  The only way I found out about it was going to their site to check the color names of the Cane Toads for you in  that other thread.   ;D

thanks for that link Avalon - I'm gonna place a fat order as well.  Very good deal, especially because I love chatter-type baits.

How do these gambler ones compare to Chatterbaits and Booyah Boogiebaits?  Anyone?

Thanks for the heads up!  I definately love the action of a swim bait.  However, i do know that the Booya chatter bates always break at where the eye meets the lead head.  This really grinds my gears cuz the darned things are so expensive.  Has anybody used this brand and know whether this is a common occurance?

This exact same thing happened to me on my only chatterbait and is ther reason why I won't buy another one.  Six bucks wasted on only like 10 casts.  Didn't even get a bite on it before the blade separated from the jig head.

JUNK!

So I placed an order on there, and like they said, it looks like they charged me for all the bags of plastics too.  They said they'd zero out the price, so I'm hoping they do so, otherwise I wouldn't have made the purchase.

Avalon, have you seen that they zeroed out the price of the plastics for you?

My invoice was not zeroed out, so I emailed them, and their sales rep Debbie Marshall wrote me back right away stating that the discount would be reflected on the final charge.  I am still waiting to see it hit my charge card...

Roses or dinner will do the trick. That's what I have to do.

Or give her money to go shoe shopping! 8-)

Brad was right, the baits came yesterday, and they had charged the correct amount.  Check this sale out if you haven't already.  Great Company.

I've lurked here for a while but this is my first post.

I tried the Gambler chatter baits before but I wasn't very impressed. I seemed to get a lot of short strikes. I found these

http://www.karulures.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=50

and my hookup ratio has improved a 100%. Now I'm up here in Ontario so I haven't had any 20lbrs on :'( but I have had 3 pike ranging between 7 and 10 lbs and no trouble with the lures breaking.

Give em a try. After the first retreive you wil never take out your gamblers chatter baits again.

Yeah I just got my order of 4 swimblades and 8 bags of plastics (and three packs of skirts).  I'm unimpressed by the swimblades.  They seem like they'll be good (I only tried one out briefly), but you can't work them fast - they start to spin.  So you have to work them relatively slowly, and they're less weedless than Booyahs and Chatterbaits.  I do like the action - it's a lot crazier than the other brands - but we'll see if the fish like them.

On the other hand, I really like the plastics, especially the cane toads.  It's tough to find a toad that actually floats, but their floating version stays right on the surface, which I like in a lot of situations.  Just caught some nice ones in the muck the last two days, and the fish seemed to prefer the cane toads to the more subtle toads (e.g. SIZMIC and Horny Toads).  I like the huge kicking feet they have.  The senkos seem decent, but I'll always prefer GYCB senkos.  I also like the skirts I got - they look pretty good.

FYI

Thanks again for that post, Avalon.

No prob...

I like the colors on the swimblades, but haven't tried them yet.  The blade material seems flimsy...

The plastics though are Super!  I love the Big Stick, and the Ace, their version of the senko.  Both quality baits.

Thanks for posting about the gambler sale.

Just placed an order.  I lost 4 booyah boogey

baits, (3 on a cast, 1 stuck in a nice bass) so I'm

hoping these don't break like the booyah.
