You will love that reel, I own one of the Accurist Pt's as well as the Accurist CX, I was really down on Quantum for along time, but these reels have restored my faith in them. I really love the externaly adjustable ACS. The only negative to them, and it's really not a big deal, is the weight. I think they come in at 9.5 ounces, were my Revo's are 8.5, and my Curado 101D at 7.5. It's still not the hevist reel I own, the Citicas and Abu C3's are a tad more at 9.9.

I haven't figured out what my wife is going to buy me this year:o) I bought her a new florescent light fixture for the kitchen. Well, THAT'S what she wanted but not all I'll end up getting her. I think I NEED some of those Huddleston 6" swimbaits:o)

Did I miss Valentine's Day?  Is it the 14th already?  Guys get gifts?  What planet are you on?   ;D

After 17 years of marriage, my wife and me just "agree" not get each other anything for Valentines. But I usuallly score a gift card to BPS and she gets some stuff from Bath and Body Works.

By the way, I like shopping there (B&BW). Last time I was there there was some young cute girl with a wooden massager who "demonstrated" the newest eucaliptice massage lotion on the back of my neck.

I wish my wife would be that kind.  I can't imagine her buying me fishing equipment for Valentines Day.  I will probably end up with some chocolate that she will end up eating. ;D

All joking a side,  I really don't want anything for Valentines Day.  I would rather get my wife something nice with what she would spend on me.

FishTank, I know where you're coming from.

I just spent the savings that WERE going towards my new worm/jig combo.

I was thinking about buying my wife a G.Loomis

GLX BCR854 matched up with a Shimano Core,

just in case she decides to go fishing...for the first time. :;)

RW: that's a CLEVER IDEA! Since my wife hates fishing, think I'd better stop at the exchange on the way home tomorrow and buy her some fishing stuff for Valentine's Day:o)

Yep, you never know when the little lady might show a sudden interest in fishing. You certainly wouldn't want her to get discouraged by having to use poor quality gear. However, you may want to consider that her divorce lawyer may end up fishing with it. ;)

Nothing says I love you like a Loomis and a Shimano reel.

Hmmmm.......  I think I've tried this before and then I suddenly relized how comfortable my leather sofa was. ;D

R/W I like your thought process. I have 2 Shimano  Metanium Mg-7's on the way & should arrive on the 14th. That solves that problem, matching reels. Ooops she will need a rod too, since she does not fish she don't have one. Thanks for the tip I'll be sure to show her your post & tell her it was your idea. ;D
