..or any of the new clear superlines for that matter...Has anyone exprimented with this line yet? what are the qualities good or bad??

My dad bought some Fireline Crystal last summer....it's more like white dental floss as I recall.

I could not agree more. It's like dental floss (very waxy), binds on itself when under load (fighting a fish, trying to get unsnagged, etc), and worst of all changes color in stained water. Mine actually turned tan and was as visible as a neon sign when the water cleared up which means I threw it away. This stuff is the worst product I've tried yet as far as line goes next to Suffix Siege 10# mono which was like spooling up with a slinky due to it's super high memory.

My 2 cents on braided line are; use it only when you have to i.e. fishing heavy cover, vegetation, or really stained water where line detection is not that big of a deal. My favorite brand is Spiderwire Stealth in low viz green. You can spool up with 20# since it has the diameter of 6# mono and it casts a mile and lays in the water like wet thread; it's just limp with zero memory. It's super strong with a palomar or trilene knot and has the greatest sensitivity of any I've tried and like Burly Walnuts who's on this forum, I've tried a lot of lines and thrown away a lot of cash doing it...

I am a big fan of the co-polymer lines as they have little stretch, not too much memory, are strong to thier weight ratio, have good knot strength, and are super affordable. I'm using P-Line Flouroclear right now on just about everything and when I respool here shortly will use it on all but my vertical presentation rig that I'll be sight fishing with as I'll have that spooled up with 100% Flouro (P Line or BPS XPS most likely) as both are top notch and not as pricey as some of the others.

The clear part is a misnomer.  Translucent white at best.  If you think line visibility is important and use a leader with your braid then you will probably still want to use a leader with this line.  Crystal is not as smooth as Suffix Braid.  No other problems with it.

I've used both the Fireline Crystal (spinning) and ultracast invisibraid (baitcast).  I won't get into the other properties of the lines, some people like them and some don't.  I do.  Regarding the "clear"ness of the lines:

Clear:  No.

Translucent:  Yes, while spooling I can see the tape on the spool through quite a few layers of line.

Less visible to the fish:  Don't know.  I think a lot depends on the background you expect to be fishing around and possibly if you expect the fish to be looking up or down based on your presentation.  Around sand or concrete or other lighter backgrounds, maybe.  Around dark vegetation I'd probably prefer smoke or moss green.

Our water is very clear, so I still used a floro leader unless I was fishing a bait like a rattler for a reaction bite.

You asked what the qualities are of superlines in general.  Well, compared to mono or flourocarbon, they're much stronger for the diameter, and much more sensitive.  The main reason they're more sensitive is that they have almost zero stretch, and that also means that it's easier to set the hook on the end of a long cast.  On the downside, these lines are more visible in the water.  To solve that problem just use a leader.

As for Fireline, I think most would agree that it's one of the crappiest superlines out there.  I went through two spools of the stuff before I gave up on it.  It frays easily and is definitely not invisible, in spite of what the company claims.  It also has knot strength issues.  LKN Bassman - one time my Fireline also turned brownish when I was fishing murky water.

I use Power Pro, and I love the stuff.  I'm going to give Sufix braid a try this spring because it was recommended to me, but Power Pro has never given me a reason to look elsewhere.
