Stren's Microfuse and Sinking braid

I like to use Sufix Performance braid and I like Power Pro as well, but I want to keep my mind open.  Has anyone used the Stren Microfuse or the Sinking braid?  How did you like these lines?  How do they compare to other braided lines?  Do you feel that the sinking braid gave you benefits you couldn't obtain with regular floating braid?  Thanks for any input.

Yeah, Dominick, there's so many lines to choose from that it's hard to keep up with them.

Stren Sinking Braid sucks.  I tried some last spring on a light and a medium spinning outfit.  To me, Stren Sinking Braid is even more limp than, say, Stren Super Braid.   It knotted terribly no matter how much line was on the spool (very different than when I tried Super Braid).   On top of that, it looked highly visible in the water to me, and it DIDN'T SINK - no more so that regular braid.    I hated it and took it off my reels.   I had three unused spools and ended up donating it with other equipment to some crappie guys on another board.   AFAIK, they hated it, too.  

The stuff I stripped off my reels I used to stitch up a lawn tarp.  That's it's real value.

I've used the micro-fuse.  Actually, I've switched over several of my baitcasters to it from stealth and plan to switch a few more.  It isn't quite as limp as most other braids, but it doesn't have as much body as fireline.

Never tried the sinking braid.

I having been trying a couple of new lines year for about 7 years now and some of the lines I have tried have come and gone but a few are still around.  I can remember when Trilene XL came out and it was the greatest line ever.  It seems it is just ordinary line by today's standards.

Oh ya,  I am planning to try the Microfuse some time this summer.  I did see that the Super Braid is clearanced out at Dicks.  Are they discontinuing it?

Along those same lines, I am trying out the Spiderwire InvisiBraid since I am looking for a braid that is easy to see with sunglasses on. I have been using the Stren Super Braid in the gold color and can't find it stocked in any stores. I went fishing yesterday using the Spiderwire and after each fish caught, the line would not cast very far without pulling some off the spool and winding it back on loosely. While the line is easy to see, it seems that the slickness of the line causes it to dig into the spool under tension more so than any other braid or fused line that I have tested. Hopefully it will "break in" and behave with more use.

I am using 30# test on spinning gear for wacky rigging.

I recently purchased some of the Microfuse because I've been wanting to fish braid on my worm and jig reels, but I also like to fish at night, and I really like using fluoro that I can see with a blacklight (I'm not good enough yet to go by "feel" alone...I am but a young Paduion (sp?) ) So, when I saw this stuff, at like $36 a spool, I thought it must be the best stuff since sliced bread !

All that said to say that I haven't even tried it out yet ! I also would like to hear from other folks that have used it, esp for worming / jigging/ or even c-rigging. Maybe I should even have a "daytime" reel spooled with "traditional" braid and a nighttime setup with either Microfuse or fluorcarbon that reacts to the blacklight.  

Any suggestions or recommendations?
