kickbasskid Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I need a low budget pole within 50$ that would match this reel: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_94740_100001002_100000000_100001000_100-1-2 It is the best reel I have used and it cost me a lot more than it does now. bassdocktor Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I've picked up 2 Fenwick Ventures from Walmart that are both nice. They cost between $40-50. Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Hey Bass doc Those are great rods, i should say were, Fenwick discontinued that line a few years back and you can't find em now Quote
bassdocktor Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks Muddy. I guess the ones I bought were left overs since I picked up one about a year ago. That would explain why I haven't seen anymore at that store. Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Yea I look at every Wal mart I go to seeing if there are any leftovers! Quote
Jake P Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 allstar classic series 49.99$ at academy. Quote
Bassnajr Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 The BPS Tourney is on sale right now (2-1-2008) at BPS Foxboro for $29.99. You can get them on line too, put then shipping applies. I grabbed two on Friday. Well worth the money. ajr Quote
PDB Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 There are all kinds of good rods out there for under 50 bucks. I prefer to feel the reel I am going to use on the rod I am going to put it on. I have had reels I liked on rods I liked but didn't like the combo. Search your local stores hard for a good clearance sale, then try that reel out on the rod to see if you like the way it balances and feels. Quote
