Guest muddy Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Hey Fellas; tax refund here , woke that monkey up! Any way I ordered the 4.7:1 for cranking, anyone who has actually used this reel , can I get some feedback on it? Quote
nightstick911 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I ordered the same one last year and i love it. I really enjoy the 4.7:1 ratio for deep cranking. Surprisingly the reel casts very well for being fairly inexpensive. I ordered mine when BPS had them on clearence. p.s. Hello to everyone, this is my first post here. I have been snooping around in the backround for quite some time though. Quote
Super User Sam Posted February 2, 2008 Super User Posted February 2, 2008 Hey Nightstick. Welcome aboard. Muddy, you know that whatever you use will produce fish. They come to you like a magnet. But check the perimeter of your house. The Bait Monkey is hiding out there, just waiting...... Quote
Super User 5bass Posted February 2, 2008 Super User Posted February 2, 2008 If the newest black ones are as tough as the first beige colored ones, you've got a very good deep crank reel. I bought a new black one last year in case something happened to my old beige one....I'm still using my beige one and believe me, it gets used A WHOLE LOT. And it will outcast any other reel that I own. No kidding. Now go get yourself some DD22's, some Muscle Deep 15+, some DT16's and catch some big'uns. Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted February 2, 2008 Super User Posted February 2, 2008 I am trying my hardest not to buy any new reels this year, but if I do that will be "The One". Mainly because of what I hear about the casting distance like 5BL said. Quote
bait__Monkey Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I am trying my hardest not to buy any new reels this year Uhhhh.......that plan is not going to work. Understand?? Quote

Super User islandbass Posted February 3, 2008 Super User Posted February 3, 2008 Well I looked at that in the BPS catalog. Were my eyes deceiving me or is there only a right hand version? If so, that stinks! > Quote
