Evan Pease Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I couldnt resist getting a Citica for $90.00 so Ive got plans to order one tomorrow. This will be the first Shimano to join my Diawa army but Im putting it on a Diawa rod to lessen the blow. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 Bad things may happen. You better watch out. ;D Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 If you develope a rash, switch out the Shimano and saddle it up with any other brand of rod and you will be fine! They particularly like to be matched with G. Loomis and St. Croix equipment. : Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 This will be the first Shimano to join my Diawa army but Im putting it on a Diawa rod to lessen the blow. There 's something unholy about sitting a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod. :-? The opposite is also true. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted February 1, 2008 Super User Posted February 1, 2008 Variety is the spice of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

I thought about getting a Tierra but I need the gear ratio. Quote

Shadcranker Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Come on in. The water is fine! Welcome to the world of quality and performance. May I suggest a Chronarch MG 50 for your pleasure??? Quote
Evan Pease Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 I decided not to get it yet for two reasons:1 Im going to save up for a new Jiggin rod for my Viento so I can give my grandpa my old setup. 2 I dont need a deep cranking combo until summer. Im going to give my grandpa my Megaforce/TD-S jig/worm rod combo which will be both his first b/c and Diawa combo. So, no Shimano yet, eat it shirley Quote

OldGuyAl Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Better to play it safe and go with a Revo on a Kistler LTA. ;-) why take chances? Quote
