I can't wait to see the TD Alphas type-r. The monkey is already kicking me in the n*ts and there aren't even pictures of it out yet. That is one sharp Zillion.

I can't wait for that either, as well as a lefty orange Pixy ::)

I don't get it??? You make it sound as if there is as much chance of an R edition as there is of a 2003 lefthand Pixy??? Hmmmm well, the Alphas R edition has specs, so we know there is one of those coming.....

"The small body reel Alphas series reels target finesse fishing. And R-edition is specified in the most finesse use, under very tough conditions. Anglers use 6-12lb test lines, to fish at water with many anglers. The reel also serves well for pitching and flipping with 20-30lb test lines, as the super low profile body offers the comfort in palm, as well as the light weight help your wrist.

The ultra-duralumin spools is drill to reduce weight, to.cast light rigs easily. The small body still hold the same line capacity as other TD 103 reels. MagforceV brake system offers comfort in casting.

R-edition has 2 more ball bearing at handle and make the total to 8+1 to offer the smoothest cranking.

The cranked carbon handle reduce weight, as well add some exotic looking."

Alphas 103 R-edition 5.8:1 170g/6.0oz 8+1 roller 12lb(0.32mm)-100yds TBA $380 [ch12288]

Alphas 103L R-edition left hand 5.8:1 170g/6.0oz 8+1 roller 12lb(0.32mm)-100yds TBA $380

Mmmm, Silver body, gold spool and line guide, CORK grips.... 8-)
