Favorite rod brand??

Impossible to pick just one.  I like different rods for different reasons.  These are in no type of order:

Daiwa Steez line, both American and JDM.

Evergreen.  

E21

GLoomis

Sage

All Star

Kistler

I'm with Redline in that I couldn't pick just one.

St. Croix and Loomis are equally favored by me.

My MBR 783GLX is light and powerful,

My St. Croix tournament bass 68MXF is my favorite rod for cranking

My Loomis BSR852GLX is an incredible rod.  light enough to cast small poppers and weightless finesse worms, powerful enough to set the hook on, and land a lunker

Then again my St. Croix Legend elite 66MHF casting rod is.............

well, I guess you can see where this is headed.   8-)

St. Croix Avid's make up most of my rod collection. I have not fished with a G. Loomis yet but from what I've seen on this forum they are top of the line. That being said, the best fisherman I know only fishes with older Berkley Series One rods. As always, catching fish has more to do with the fisherman than his equipment.

Well theres Loomis and then St Crox outside that I couldn't tell you cause these are all I use.  

They're all I have right now too. If you look at my rods then I guess I favor St. Croix (3 St. Croix to 1 G. Loomis) but I love that IMX that I have. I really can't pick between the two.

I own high-end rods from Loomis, Dobyns, St. Croix, Shimano, E21 and Falcon.  I have more Loomis' than any other and if forced to pick a favorite it would be Loomis (especially the crankbait rods, they are sooooo good).

St. Croix.

They make a very fine product.  The blanks are awesome, and the attention to detail and QC is fantastic: no gobs of glue here or there; handles are flush; never had a winding check come off, etc.  I can't say the same about some other high price rods that I've bought over the years.

They are a multi-species rods company, with rods tailor-made for everything from pitching tiny jig/minnow combos for spring walleye, to ripping monster wooden jerks for fall muskie.

Aesthetically, they are really nice for a domectic stick, especially with the release of the new LT's.  And I love the notion of a family owned rod company nestled in America's northwoods.

I'm surprised at the poll results so far.  I'd have guessed Loomis would easily walk away and St Croix would hold 2nd.  I'm really surprised Shimano (my choice) is 3rd, although way back from the top 2.  I didn't know Shimano rods had any following here.  Interesting!

I vote for Shimano.  The Crucial Line is amazing!  I can't wait for to try the Cumara's though.  Could spell trouble for the St. Croix possee.  HaHa lets see how that stirs the pot!
