Mine are all customs except one. Built them myself. 7 are G. Loomis and 5 are Lamiglas. Love Loomis & Lamiglas.

My favorite rod is a Fenwick.  But if I ever bought something better, I'm willing to switch.

But I really like my All Star American Classics.  Great combination of sensitivity, strength, looks and price.

Right now my favorite "factory built" rods are Shimano Crucials.  Great rod for the price in my opinion, and many models to choose from.

My favorite was...........maybe still is Fenwick, but some new St Croix's, Kistler's and All Stars I bought might change that. Only problem is I have to wait a few more months to find out due to this crazy thing we have called "winter" here.

G loomis IMX series. That is just because I do not have the GLX yet.

Even their saltwater rods are great. lightweight, strong backbone, and sensitive. Can't wait to get a custom made one someday.

Of the rods I currently have. My overall favorite is my Shimano's. However for inshore Saltwater I have a Cape Fear that my wife uses and a Key Largo rod that I am partial to. For a cheaper rod I have two pistol grip Lightning Rods that I got on clearance that I can not wait to use this spring.

My experience has been that for the money I prefer Fenwick.  I think they are as light and sensitive as any rod I've used, and when you factor in their price (even with the recent price increase) they are hard to beat.

I have owned a number of different rods.  I always come back to Castaway.  I have friends that will handle more expensive rods,  They inevitably pick up a Castaway and say, "I like this one."
