Super User David P Posted January 27, 2008 Super User Posted January 27, 2008 702 ML Dobyns rod Quote
Bob Kavanaugh Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I have a St. Croix AVID AS70MF. The reel is spooled up with 8lb mono, that has only and will only be used for 1/8oz and 3/16oz shaky heads. I've caught several 5+ pound drum (sheephead) on accident, so I can tell you this rod has enough backbone to slam the hook home and get her in the boat! My drop shot/split shot(live bait) rod is a St. Croix Premier PS66MF. I absolutely love this rod! I got it off Muddy for almost nothing, and would have bought another if not for being able to get that Avid NEW for under $100. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted January 27, 2008 Super User Posted January 27, 2008 I like using the St. Croix Avid AS68MXF. The tip extra fast tip is great for small jigs and a finesse worm. Quote
franklinfishfinder Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 St. Croix Avid AS66MLF. Going to match it up with the new quantum tour edtion spinning reel in a few more weeks. Quote
