Bean Counter Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I fished a BPS 7'M Crankin Stick for a couple of years and for the money it is a pretty good rod. Mine just stands in the corner of the garage now since I replaced it with a St Croix Avid. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted January 4, 2008 Super User Posted January 4, 2008 I just recieved my crankin' stick! cant wait to try it out. Quote
zelmo Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Anybody use these for spinnerbaits? I got 3 while they were on sale and I'm trying to decide how to set them up. Two 6'6"M will be rigged with 12# mono, but I was thinking about putting braid on the 7"M to use with medium divers and spinnerbaits. What do you think? Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 18, 2008 Super User Posted January 18, 2008 Why would you fish crankbaits on braid? Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted January 18, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted January 18, 2008 Why use braid? So you can get you baits back for one. I use braid in stained water for rattle traps too. The braid will cut through grass better than mono. The line actually acts like and saw and you have less hangups. Quote
LakeAnnaBasser Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Why would you fish crankbaits on braid? Braid also has a thinner diameter so you get more depth out of your cranks. But I still use mono. Quote

Super User Micro Posted January 18, 2008 Super User Posted January 18, 2008 BPS Crankin' Sticks seem to be the only BPS rod everyone really likes. I don't own one, but am impressed that everyone seems to agree they are a great cranking rod. Quote

I think they are the most under rated rod in their line up. but then again thats OK because the prices are so good. Quote
