ClemsonFisher Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I have been looking for a decent rod and I am wanting something that is solid and not looking to loose an arm or leg to buy it. Any suggestions on a rod that I can use for jigs? Quote
Chad. Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Man, that's like saying i want a car but don't want to spend that much. There millions of options most people will say be more specific as in give a price range. Quote
LakeAnnaBasser Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I would get an all star american classic. its a great rod at a good price. Quote
ABC123 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Casting or spinning??? How heavy are the jigs rigged up??? Short rod for accuracy or longer rod for distance??? Price range??? Mono, Floro, or Braid??? Quote
Super User islandbass Posted January 13, 2008 Super User Posted January 13, 2008 How about a budget? Baitmonkey is curious. ;D Quote
ClemsonFisher Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 I was thinking in the 100 range. I am looking for baitcasting and I use floro. Jigs are 3/8 to 1/2 Quote
Evan Pease Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I use a Team Diawa-S 7 foot jig model. I cast 5/16 or 1/2 with it and it does great. It costs about $104. Quote
ABC123 Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 The All star ASR 805 and ASR 815 would be 2 I would look at. BPS's RC series XPS rods..maybe the RCL702WD. Falcon lowrider XG LFC 5 167 or LFC 5 1610. Shimano Compre CPC 70MB or CPC X66MB. BPS's is having a big sale on Johnny Morris Elite. Team All star's would be another one. As mentioned, the TD-S series would work too. Quote
