Sit down, Put the rod beneath your legs right behind your knees, grab the rod and move your legs apart. Use your legs to move your arms apart, because they are usually stronger than your arms

I agree I would take it back and have the retailer take it apart, better they break it then you. The next time you purchase a 2pc rod, make sure you can get it apart before you leave the shop, or where ever you purchased it.

I have a 2 piece Pflueger rod that I epoxied together! I hate 2 piece rods!  8-)

My gramps always put a bit of nose grease on the rod before inserting the top half to ensure a painless disassembly.  B) Old school right there.

When you put the rod back together consider taking the male end and rub it around the area where the side of your nose meets your chin.

Not kidding.  We did this with our fly fishing rods and it lubricates the end making removing it easier.

The area is at the bottom of your nose, where there is a "valley" formed by the nose and cheek skin.

But I agree with the guys.  Take the rod back to where you purchaed it and have them take it apart.

Sorry.

Not your chin but your cheek.

Don't know anyone whose nose meets their chin.

I can honestly say I've never had the male end of anything anywhere near either of those places, nor will I ever....   B)

I just bought a 2 piece rod and they are stuck together. I have tried everything to seperate them. Any ideas? :-/ Thanks.

You need to grow a pair and just rip it apart.  Hold it by the guides if you have to and twist hard!

Haha, just kidding  Like everyone else said, take it to the shop.

Side note about two-piece rods: try to avoid twisting the two pieces together, and just push them straight together or pull them straight apart.  That will prevent wear and tear on the connecting parts.
