Red Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 anyone have much luck with these? mainly the craws and chunks? was considering these for my jig trailers....i am down to only a couple jigs left now...so i need to restock and wanted to buy some trailers to match....i know what jigs i want to get but am looking for a good trailer, and some good craws to use on t-rigs as well...plus they are on sale at *** thanks Cliff Quote
Bob Kavanaugh Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I use paca chunk trailers for 1/2oz jigs and larger. Smaller than 1/2 oz I'll use Zoom swimming chunks. Quote
CJ Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Been using them now for 2 years and I can't say enough about them.Try em',you will like them! Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted September 25, 2007 Super User Posted September 25, 2007 love the craws, haven't used the chunks. Cheers, GK Quote
basspro48 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 The baby paca craws and the chunks are amazing baits, give'em a try I'm sure you'll love'em. Quote
Lightninrod Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Their Paca Craws are awesome! I prefer to T-rig them. I prefer these chunks when I want my JigXs to stand upright on the bottom. Dan Quote
deadeye32. Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I use the chunks on jigs and I love the baby paca craws on a spot remover. (might be my favorite summertime bait) Quote
twors Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I'm addicted to baby paca craws...t-rigged on a 3/0 EWG and a 1/8oz bullet weight. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I have a bag of Netbait floating worms that are in bullfrog color (yellow brown and green). I haven't gotten a nibble on them, so I stick with the trickworm. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 26, 2007 Super User Posted September 26, 2007 You need to give this a try: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1190572509 Quote
bocabasser Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 IMO the best trailers on the market! i flip the baby paca craw and i use the chunks when i am swimming a jig. i love them! Quote
Red Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 thanks guys, another question...how do they hold up? cuz i have been using GYCB flappin hawgs recently...and the words "durable" and "GYCB flappin hawg" shouldnt be used in the same sentance ;D....i like them but man the fish look at them and the appendages fall off....i only bought one pack just to try them, they worked great but didnt last for crap....hope the paca stuff is better Cliff Quote
CJ Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The main problem is what makes the Paca so good. The claws are bulkier out on the ends and taper toward the body of the craw. The design is what gives them their unique action. The problem is that smaller bass will tear the claws off sometimes.Bigger fish usually don't. Branuss04 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I love the action of these... I use the chunks as jig trailers. and for 2 bucks at TW you can't beat them. IMO they don't hold up that well, usually the wing's get ripped off, but at only 2 bucks I can afford to buy LOTS of them!!! Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 29, 2007 Super User Posted September 29, 2007 I've used the baby paca craw with a spot remover jig with excellent result but yesterday I ran across the paca craw the larger ones now that size will produce me a hawg or two. Quote
Ghetto_Basser Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I really like these baits. Jig trailers for me. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted September 29, 2007 Super User Posted September 29, 2007 They are on sale at BPS website. Quote
twors Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I bought a pack of Flappin Hawgs recently. The fish liked them alright but they don't last long at all. The local fish like Paca Craws just as well if not better and I've caught as many as 10 fish on one bait...probably average around 5 fish per bait. They work as well with one pincher as they do with two from my experience this summer. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted October 3, 2007 Super User Posted October 3, 2007 lol,one pincer?? I'll give it a try, since I have already thrown out several good baits that had a gimp arm on em.they break pretty easy, but I guess thats the sacrifice for great action. Quote
