swivels or knots?

Do you tie every time you change a lure or do you use swivels?

I heard using a swivel takes away from the action of the bait, but im not sure if that is true about soft plastics. Me, i tie baits on all the time.

I use duolock snaps, not swivels.

I use swivels on jigging spoons only.  Everything else gets tied directly to the line.

I stay away swivels or snaps,  unless I am using a Carolina Rig.  Other than that I go with the line to lure method.
