SteveF Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I am looking at getting a new frog reel, and torn between the Daiwa Zillion with the high speed gear ratio or the Daiwa Advantage Super Tuned, and what I would like to know is which one is smaller in overall size or in other words which one is easiest to palm. I will be getting it in left hand as well. We do not have any local dealers here that have either of these so I am relying on you guys. Thanks guys. Steve Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 27, 2007 Super User Posted December 27, 2007 The Zillion is smaller. Quote
Super User flechero Posted December 27, 2007 Super User Posted December 27, 2007 Both are pretty small and easy to palm... unless you have very small hands, I don't think either of them will present a challenge. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted December 27, 2007 Super User Posted December 27, 2007 I got the highspeed Zillion earlier this year for frogs, buzzbaits, topwater plugs and jerkbaits and I love it so far. Easy to palm, light weight and powerful. It is the best workhorse reel I have ever used. I would highly recommend it. Quote
SteveF Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 Thanks FishTank, I love my Daiwa Alpha Type-F's (6) and my Sol's (2) however they are both slow speed 5:8 gear ratio's which I feel is way to slow for slop fishing. I wish Daiwa would come out with a Japanese Alpha with a 7:1 gear ratio ... I would be all over that like stink on ... well you know. Take care all, Steve Quote
