Best rod for Shimano Sedona

I would like know what rod would be best for my Shimano Sedona 2500FB reel.I have a Shimano Sojourn 6'6 rod and would like to upgrade it.

up to 100- 150.Be stupid i would think to put a 250 rod on a 50 dollar reel lol.

Why is that?

The rod does all the work, not the reel.

It only makes sense that the rod should be the best you can afford..

St Croix Avid rods are being discounted at Bass Pro.  I picked up a couple at a $$$$ savings.  They had been $180 and I got one for $120 and the next week the other for $111.

Check Gander Mt.  The Avids are on sale there too.

You can't buy anything on Gander Mt. website can u.My crappy area dont have a cabelas,bps or gander mt..We have Backwoods Outdoors and American Outfitters and place called Fred's bait and tackle.Closest Gander Mt. to me is about 4 hour drive to jacksonville fl.The closest bps to me is and hour and 40 min. from my house according to yahoo directions.I've been to the macon bass pro once which was back in may or june.Pretty kool place.

You cannot buy from Gander's website.  Your next best bet is to buy from www.reedssports.com.  They had an awesome deal about a month ago where the Avids were going for $97.   They are still on sale but for $128.  If you buy more rods, you can save more (up to 40% off for 3).
