nicmic Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 what is the best tool to cut power pro fishing line with? someone recommended baby blunt end sissors but they are not working too good. any suggestions? Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted December 20, 2007 Super User Posted December 20, 2007 I have been using it for the last 5 or 6 years. Academy has some sissors that do a fair job. For a while I kept a sharp knife on board but I bought a Power Zap at Bass Pro which I now use instead of the sissors or knife. It also allows me to mend and or modify plastics. Quote

Super User FishTank Posted December 20, 2007 Super User Posted December 20, 2007 I have been using kid's Fiskars scissors. They work great. They're small and have a bright colored handle that makes them easy to find in my tackle box. Quote
bocabasser Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 i have an expensive pair of craft scissors that i stole from my wife. they are amazing. i believe the name is called ARS. not sure but i will check when i get home. they cut through power pro very cleanly and never frays. the crayola ones work good, but the get dull very quickly. surfer Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Finger nail clippers. Compact and cheap ($1.99). After the initial pinch, pull along the blades instead of away. They are cheap enough I have one in each of my 3700 boxes. Quote
Infidel. Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 $2.99 at BPS. For the price you can't beat em. The serrated edges hold the line in place while your cutting. Quote
Super User Micro Posted December 21, 2007 Super User Posted December 21, 2007 Bandage cutting scissors you buy in a drug-store. About 5 bucks. Quote

Super User Marty Posted December 22, 2007 Super User Posted December 22, 2007 There are many cutters sold for braid. I'm another one who uses Fiskar's kids' scissors, which are the same as Culprit's Braid Blades. If you catch Fiskar's on sale you can get them for $1, otherwise you might have to pay $2. Quote
