Black Bass Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 If I use my AS68MXF for soft plastics, and my AC68MXF for jigs, light Texas and Carolin Rigs, and my AC66MF for jerkbaits, crankbaits, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwater How would you fish my AC70MM? Quote

mike bat Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 thats a crankin stick .... does it have a sticker on the blank that says crankbaits ????? if not it should ..... thats what id toss anyway .... Quote
dbass Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Same as the 66MF, only with a little more distance on the cast... Tight Lines!!!! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 6, 2007 Super User Posted December 6, 2007 The AC66MF is more "general" or "all-purpose". I use it for jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, topwater and some crankbaits. The AC70MM is softer (Moderate Action) and is best suited just for crankbaits. p.s. As David mentioned, greater casting distance. The AC70MM REALLY loads up and you will be surprized just how far you can cast a lure. Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 6, 2007 Super User Posted December 6, 2007 That would make a fine crankbait rod. Quote
Infidel. Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I haven't fished the 7ft medium Avid but I have the 7 medium LT. As mentioned above it is a fine rod for cranking but it also makes a great rod for buzzbaits and burning compact spinner baits like the Screaming Eagle or the Tungsten Series Terminators. BTW, it looks like you have a great line up of avids there. Quote
Black Bass Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 Thanks for all the great information. I think I've got the rods and their uses sorted to start. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 7, 2007 Super User Posted December 7, 2007 You got it all going on. Great stuff. Good luck! 8-) Quote
