i'm fairly new to baitcasters and my first couple were right hand retrieve.  Then i got a new shimano left hand retrieve thinking that since i've been fishing spinning tackle my whole life i would like the left hand retrieve on my baitcaster.  The problem is the handle turn is much tighter on the baitcaster than on my spinning reels.

My question is - can you get longer handles for a baitcaster to make the reeling action closer to what i am used to?

Sorry, I don't talk to people who fish lefty....

I'm just bustin on ya.  Yes, you can get larger handles.  But it still won't feel like you are using your spinner.

I am sure you can get longert handles but not sure if they make em long enough to make it feel like a spinning reel. I am the same way reel left handed on spinning reels and right handed on baitcasters.

Most all of Shimano' baitcast cranks have a 70mm to 80mm crank radius.

That's it.

I've been doing a lot of handle research lately for my Daiwa. Lengths for most Daiwa's are available in 75, 80, 85, 90, with a few rare 95mm handles. Shimano has 80, 85 and some aftermarket 90mm handles that I have seen. Bassart makes one. There may be more out there, but that is what I have seen. I also have not seen one for your particular model either, though.

I'm not stating a for sure, I'm just going by the sizes I have found, but most aftermarket/upgrade handles are listed as either 45mm or 50mm. As that is half a handle, so to speak, multiply that by 2. So I think spinning reel handles have the same rotating diameter as 90 to 100mm baitcaster handles.
