Big T Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Ok, the bait monkey managed to get into my wife's head. So it looks like I am going to take advantege of this Shimano rebate and get and Citica/Extreme Combo. So my question is this which combo would you guys get based off of these rods I already have: 1. I already have a 6'6" Mh fast Convergence with an Abu Garcia 4600C3 2. I have a 6'6" ML fast Compre with a Daiwa Advantage 150H I am thinking that I want to use this for spinnerbaits and jigs, or more of a all purpose deal and retire the Abu 4600 as a backup, so should I get a 7ft MH or a 6'6" MH rod, for the reel I am thinking of getting the 100dsv unless someone can convince me otherwise on why I should get the 200. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Big T Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted November 30, 2007 Super User Posted November 30, 2007 get the 200 if you got big hands get the 100 if you got smaller hands and dont like holding big heavy reels. get a 7'MH..probably the best all around for jigs! happy buying Quote
Bass XL Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I got the Citica 200D/7' M Extreme combo last year for christmas....great all around combo Quote
Branuss04 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I got the 7 MH Citica 200 for my first BC. I have big hands, but I still prefer a smaller, lighter reel. I'd go with the 100 and the 7 MH. But go to a tackle store and take a feel of both of them, because all and all it's a personal preference Quote
Guest muddy Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Even though I dont shop there anymore, if your gonna get a Citica from them this is the way to go its 139.00 and you get a 30 dollar rebate cupon from Shimano that brings it to 109 heres the link thats a sweet deal http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=74456&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults Quote
Big T Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 Muddy, You read my mind, actully I have a $25 gift card as well, so that makes the deal even better. However I am going to wait because my birthday is in less than three weeks (Dec. 23) and I believe my wife and my mother inlaw is going to give me more BPS gift cards. Big T Quote
Super User flechero Posted December 3, 2007 Super User Posted December 3, 2007 I have big hands, but I still prefer a smaller, lighter reel. I'd go with the 100 +1 Quote
