Good pair of waders?

I was looking at fishing a river down by my house and I see many people that wade.  It is almost impossible to fish from shore, so I want to get in there.  Can you guys give me some ideas for some chest waders that have suspenders.  I don't know much about them, looking for name brands or sponsors that sell them.  I am looking in the range of $80-$120.

I have a pair of Cabela's brand breathable waders that are really nice.  The material is very breathable and great for summer or fall/spring.  When the water is cold I just wear fleece pants under them.  I have the ones with boots attached and the boots have a felt bottom and really grip the rocks well.  The only problem is that after a year of using them, they're starting to leak just a tiny bit (I have spent many full days on the water in my float tube with these waders).  I highly recommend them, but I have a related question for everyone:

Is there any kind of fix for general light leakage for waders?  Is there some kind of substance you can smear on them to restore the waterproofness?

If you are able to find the leak, it is very fixable.

Many of your large outdoor retailers will sell wader repair kits in the shoe dept of the store. My cabela's waders came with a small patch and glue kit, in a small ziplock back w/ the waders.

I will also vote for the cabela's waders, very breathable and durable for the price. I have had mine for over three years of river smallmouth wading w/ no problems.

Thanks - yeah I need to find that old kit that came with the waders.  It's definitely somewhere...

As for finding the leak - how would you do that?  I do know that now when I get off the water after a long day float-tubing, it looks like I peed my pants.  

Do you think it's a leak in the waders or in my bladder?   ;D

If you can, turn the waders inside out and fill w/ water. You should be able to see the seam where it is leaking.

The leaks in the crotch area are tough to find and patch.

Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can do that.

Back to the question though ssaB_ - I'd spend as much as you can afford on waders (within reason of course).  You don't want a cheapo pair because they will not last long and they'll leak.  You'll actually save money by spending more now instead of having to replace them soon down the road.

and they are good for teh money. they dont breath at all tho...i sweat like a pig in them, but hey, they keep me dry (except for my sweat!!!) theyre plenty durable cuz they have that "hard shell" dont only use them in rivers either! i use mine at ponds where there are vast shallow flats along the shore line that are unfishable cuz theyre like 5" deep. so i just walk on out there to the edge of the drop off and fish.
