I have a G Loomis CBR906C and I am looking for a good low ratio baitcasting reel.  My leading candidate is the Shimano Curado 200DPV, but I don't like how big it is.  I tried the Quantum Energy PT low ratio reel and I didn't like it at all.  Does anyone know a good dependable reel that can be used for deep diving crankbaits, but is easy to palm as well?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Never mind...I found the U.S. Dollar conversion button.  $450 might be a little higher then I was thinking about.  The $200 range was more of where I was thinking.  Though, that is a sweet looking reel.

I'm in the same boat you are.  All my reels are either too small or too fast for deep dive cranks.  I'll get that reel when income tax comes around.  I always take $1000 - $1200 out for new rods/reels.

I know it's not what your looking for but it is still hard to beat the Lew's BB19GS when it comes to deep cranking.

I use the Fritts crankin' reels from BPS. Best $59.99 I've ever spent.

That Lew's BB19GS is a good one too.

ive been using a calcutta 51 ,,,, not a bad crankin reel .... i know you want a lowpro but the calcutta is killer to toss the deep divers .....  a cardiff would be fine as well ,,,, it has a nice slow retrieve and with the 100 dollar price tag its worth looking into .....

I agree 100%

It looks like a big reel but it palms very well, casts great, and has all the power you could ever want.

Here is a couple of suggestions.

1) Shimano Curado 200DPV

2) Shimano Calcutta 200

3) Daiwa Zillion Crazy Cranker (JDM)

I know nothing of the Shimanos but that Zillion is the best I've fish a deep crank with.
