wps1999 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Hi everyone. I am currently using a G Loomis GL3 SJR842 (medium power/Fast Action) with a Shimano Stradic 2500FI. I like the set up but and somewhat indifferent to the rod. I am only going to use this rod for senkos. What do you guys think is the best rod for fishing senkos? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 28, 2007 Super User Posted November 28, 2007 If you want to stick with G. Loomis, GLX SJR843S. I fish a St. Croix Legend Elite ES70MF/ Stella 2500FB and Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6. Quote
Yodie Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'll suggest my go-to rod for pretty much everything as it does it all, and very well I might add. G Loomis SMR 882S (Medium power, fast action, 6-12 lb line, 1/8-3/8 oz. lures) plenty of length for insanely long casts. plenty of backbone for good strong hooksets soft, yet sensitive tip for detecting those subtle bites with a slack line weightless plastic. Great rod, worth more than its retail price in my opinion. Quote
ABC123 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 BSR803-GLX...in my totally biased opinion. ;D Quote
