tyrius. Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Cabela's has their 1lb spools on sale for $65. That's $40 off the normal price. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21404-cat21406-cat21436&id=0046976119280a&navCount=5&podId=0046976&parentId=cat21436&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=OG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21436&hasJS=true Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 21, 2007 Super User Posted November 21, 2007 That's actually too much line. You know, I fish spinning tackle a lot and change my line when needed, but I don't go through more than 1000 yards a year, probably not nearly that much. One pound of #6 must be at least 5000 yards. Even though I don't think Yo-Zuri gets old, five or six years worth of line is just too much. Quote
ABC123 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 8000 yards. I already looked at that. I seen the spools at the store. They're BIG. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted November 22, 2007 Super User Posted November 22, 2007 I bought the 600 yard spools in 6#, 10# & 12# when they were on sale for 11.99. They are the perfect size. Just about a years worth of line. The 1lb spools are for tackle shops and clubs who pool their resources. It's an amazing bargain if you use a ton of line. Ronnie Quote
Live.2.Fish Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 8000 yards. That is 4.545 miles of line!!! Quote
tyrius. Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 I don't really know how long it would take me to go through that much line. Maybe a decade? That would almost be like buying 10,000 plastic worms all of the same style and color. Just a bit of an overkill. Quote
