can i ask where you got the rod for 150$!!!??? please let me know

That's their retail price not some special price. Go to their website.

I only wish they had a few more options on the rods. Length and action and such. I might go get that spinning rod though, I'd have no use for the casting rod.

What a sweet set-up. Not everybody takes such care to color co-ordinate their rod and reel. It looks like a match made in Heaven. Enjoy.

It's an old limited edition "cigar" reel.  Came in a humidor and everything. :o

Very nice, I *** your rod and reel collection. I someday aspire to have such nice setups.  I am available for adoption :)

I read it.  I just thought it was a first glance sort of thing. To tell the truth, I thought you might be stretching it a bit.  Sorry.

If it compares to the Steez, that is one awesome rod.  I will have to pick one up before next season.

IMHO, this is one of the ugliest rods I've ever seen

Just wait til I get one and put that nice light blue Stradic on there. Now that'll really make ya puke!

FWIW I think the orange rod is teh sex.

You could be right Robert, I would put it Up against any other rod I own or have owned. (kistler, loomis, st croix, all star)  I couldn't believe it when I saw it.  I felt like I stole it, since it only cost $150

well i must say 1st thats a sweet lookin stick ..... however i do have questions .... the action of this rod is different so i cant say i understand the action at all .... i geuss what i read here ,,, it looks like the rod would be good for spinnerbaits and cranks .... i couldent see fishin jigs or worms with this stick .... the maker of the rod is Ken w the old pres of arrius rods so the man is a rod designer ..... however he leaves arrius to make rods for a company e21 a golf club comapny .... ive also read that the rod shown at icast as the carrot stick is different in many ways .... ive looked at pictures of bolth and do see plenty of differences .... i  read that the carrot sticks that are being sold now arent or dont even have the carrot stands in the blank due to weight and inability to keep the strands on the blank ..... i dont know what to think .... i know Ken is a stand up guy ,, infact ive spoke with him before about buyin a arrius xl ..... it just seems like a bad joke or somthing .... i dont get it at all ..... when i think of fishing i dont think of carrots or golf clubs .... someone help me understand what is going on here??????????

With all this talk I just could not resist trying the Carrot Stick. I purchased both the spinning and the casting version. I have not yet actually fished either one but I certainly have played with them! My initial impression is they are well made with excellent fit and finish at this price point. They certainly are different looking, absolutely orange! I will start with a Shimano Core on the casting model. The black reel and orange rod seem to fit together pretty well. My plan is to use this combo for small to medium crankbaits and the smaller spinner baits. As for the spinning rod, I really haven't given much thought to how to rig that one. I'll probably get my Daiwa Luvias.
