joeyd50 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 What do you guys think of Yo-Zuri Hybrid line for Spinnerbaits, buzzbait, texas rigging worms and top water frog fishing? I was thinking this line would do well. Thanks Joe Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 Hmm... I like it. : 8-) Quote
Super User Micro Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 I've tried it on my new Johnny Morris Elite rod with Recoil guides. It's my wormin' rod. I like it a lot so far. Quote
Jeff P. Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra-Soft for every setup I have. I use the #4 and #6 on my spinning setups, and #12 on all my baitcasting setups. I used the regular Yo-Zury Hybird for a while on my jig and spinnerbait setups, but I switched to the Ultra-Soft. I will continue usiing this line for all my setups, though I am interested in trying some flurocarbon line for a couple applications (dropshot and plastics). Quote
Super User FishTank Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 Good stuff. I use for just about everything. Quote
JayW Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I agree. I use it for everything too! Great line! Quote
jb_adams Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 I can't quit using it. My bud uses PLine now but I can't switch. He got me started on Yo-Zuri and I like how it's smaller diameter and softer than other lines. It is easily damaged in comparison with Spiderwire but, it lasts a lot longer than Spiderwire and I have more faith in Yo-Zuri than many other lines. I use it on all my reels. Quote
W1-10 Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Maybe, it's sort of off topic but, I just bought a spool of the #6 and had a lot of trouble with it. I really have a hard time thinking that I spooled it wrong as I spooled twice and went through the whole drag it out behind the boat process. I got a lot of twists and eventually had to retire that set-up for the day as it was unfishable. I'll try another spool to give it a fair shot, but I was really disappointed. Quote
The_Natural Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 It will work fine...line choice has become less important now that the technology has improved so much. Retieing often and making sure your line is undamaged is the most important part. Other than that, Pline CXX is the best. Just kidding...use what you like 8-) Quote
