What Rod&Line for Daiwa Tierra 2500?

I'm planning on getting a rod for my Team Daiwa Tierra 2500 Spinning Reel . Would like to keep the cost of the rod around the $100 margin. Also need to get some line for it also, which I would not like to spend more than $20 on. This setup is going to be used for texas rigged tubes. I'm open to all opinions and suggestions. ;D

I'm not familiar with Tierras, but I've been using Regal-Zs in the 2500 size for years, and I assume the Tierra is the same size. I've used 10# mono in various brands, some 12# Trilene XL, 14# Fireline and 15# Power Pro. I've executed many successful hooksets with mono, but I'd lean toward a superline if this is dedicated to T-rigged tubes.

Look around to see if you can find St Croix Avids on sale.  Nearly everyone's been blowing them out so I'm not sure what's left.

An AS68MXF would be a GREAT choice.

On all my spinning tackle, Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (11.9 lb test).

I just got a Tierra and I put P Line CX premium on it. One spool has 6# the other has 8#.

In the price range you are talking I would look at a Falcon Lowrider.

I'd go for some P-Line Flouroclear 8lb and a St. Croix Avid 6'6'' Med. Fast.
