Super User 5bass Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Went for a ride this afternoon and ended up at my new favorite tackle shop.....and wouldn't you know it.....the baitmonkey pulled up at the same time I did. He convinced me to buy a couple of rods, and the good thing is, the wife was with me when all this happened. Quote
Super User Micro Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Holy hog balls, that's a pretty table. Someone cluttered it up with a bunch of Loomisesssss. Quote

Super User cart7t Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Now you'll be able to join in with the Loomis gang and talk about how great that $50, no questions asked lifetime warranty is when one of the rods breaks in the near future. ;D Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 And here I was thinking that not getting out of Bass Pro for less than $100 is bad... What's that, around $1400 in sticks? I'd love to see the next picture of the 5 reels you buy all at one time for those Quote

Thats never a bad thing if you think about it.....new toys! What's that, around $1400 in sticks? Something like that.... I'd love to see the next picture of the 5 reels you buy all at one time for those It might be a couple of months on the reels, I gotta give my wallet time to recover. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you'll be able to join in with the Loomis gang and talk about how great that $50, no questions asked lifetime warranty is when one of the rods breaks in the near future. Super User Jimzee Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Hey 5bass, I want to hear some feedback soon on those GLX's. Mainly how they compare to the Heliums. You have both now and I trust your judgement. I want to make sure I'm not missing out on something. And for those of you that want to turn this into a Kistler vs. G-Loomis thread, PLEASE REFRAIN!!! I'm just interested in the GLX's that's all. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 I'm interested too. I'd like to hear if you think the new rods are "worth" that much more than what you've been using. If I came home from the tackle shop with what you came home with, I'd still be unconscious. Cheers, GK Quote
Super User FishTank Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 WOW....... That was quite a shopping spree. Enjoy the rods....... Which models did you get? And what do you plan to put on them? Quote
Super User 5bass Posted October 3, 2007 Author Super User Posted October 3, 2007 Which models did you get? And what do you plan to put on them? BSR852 (Pflueger Supreme 8035MG) MBR782C (Revo STX) BCR874 (x2) (Revo STX x2) SMR752S-SP (Pflueger Supreme 8035MG) Both of the spinning rods feel awesome with the Supreme's on them. The casting rods balance well with the STX's on them but neither spinning or casting are as light as my Heliums. Not much difference, but the difference is there. I am not a fan of having foregrip cork again....I do know that much. Will probably fish them tomorrow. Quote
