cdabelow Posted August 4, 2007 Author Posted August 4, 2007 I'm a little biased but I feel my own baits are the best all around crank baits. These cranks look great!! You make them yourself?? Do you sell them?? Quote
Red Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 i am new to LMB fishing this season so i am no expert, i have thrown LC's, rapala, and norman cranks....the LC's out produce the others by far....they have caught more and bigger fish...mainly the Fat BDS-2 in american shad Cliff Quote
basscat73 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 With cost in mind, I gotta go with Normans -- price is good and they have pretty good hooks too. I'm almost to the point of fishing Norman's exclusively because I do so well with them, especially this year. The bandits are really affordable and they are good fish catchers too, but their hooks are fairly weak and bend open easily after a few fish. Quote
cdabelow Posted August 5, 2007 Author Posted August 5, 2007 Guys look! I was out today and worked a couple of my new cranks. I have been taking everyones advice. I bought a Rapala DT 6 in Bluegill Color. I was only out for about 3 hours and it was nasty and humid. I caught one that measure (only takes 14" in Indiana) he was about 14 1/2. I also caught two dinks. The cast after my last fish I snagged up and even with my retriever could not get it loose. I almost went it after it. Oh well have to buy more :. thank for all the good advice. Quote
bassmaster8100 Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I only started using Lucky Craft a few months ago but I can assure you its well worth the money. If money is the issue, I would go with the Rapala DT or the Mann's Baby -1 and -4. Before I started fishing Lucky Craft, it was Mann's in shallow water situations and Rapala in deep water but almost always now its Lucky Craft I had immediate success with this lure and have stayed hot with ever since. bubbler Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 wiggle wort frenzy these are great for the price Quote
BIG M Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 The baits I make do it for me. I can cover eveything from the surface down to 18-20 feet. Quote
S I G M A Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 bombers are a good choice, and cheap. rapala original floaters are also pretty effective, topwaters are the most fun though Quote
