Nice rods i have a 2 piece one. they dont come in many actions but the ones they do have are slow tipped it seems not bad for small/med shallow cranks and spinnerbaits .The warrenty is lifetime as i have said a few  times i never had to take any back but my buddy did with NO QUESTIONS ASKED and got a brand new one.

i think you meant to say all the ones they have are fast action. fast means when flexed only the tip bends, slow means nearly the whole blank bends. all the ones i've seen have fast actions.

thats a good thing on that warranty. maybe this will be the new rod that i get. they are a very reasonable price....is that a bad thing :-?

I found one in my pile of old rods this summer and took it out and tried it.  I thought it was a excellent stick given it's price range.  Liked it enough I left it in the boat and use it for throwing my suspending Husky Jerks.  It is more sensitive then a Lightning Rod and is a bit lighter.  Somebody show me a better rod for $40!  :(

I have 2 older model Convergence rods and I really like them. They were $40 when I bought them and that was the best $80 I've ever spent. I have a 6-6M that I've used for cranks and jerkbaits for years, and a 6-6MH that still makes a great senko/texas rig rod. The medium is surprisingly lightweight and is easy to cast all day. They're not exactly Loomis quality but they were a great buy for the price. Probably my biggest knock on them is that the guides are single-foot.

I also own an older model 6' Stimula spinning rod, Stimula being the spinning version of the Convergence. I used that rod extensively in both fresh and saltwater for years but it is now retired.

Please note that the Convergence series has been redesigned since I bought these ones, so there may be some noticeable differences.

COOL!

so far im really liken this rod. im gonna go check the shimano website to look for any changes like you said.

im gonna have to check around stores for it and if i cant find it there then i guess i'll have to buy it from cabelas. it sucks that you have to add an additional $6 for shipping it though :(
