As far as I know, there isn't a monofilament made that doesn't have some memory.  Braided lines obviously don't have memory.  I use Yo-Zuri hybrid ultra soft (bonded fluoro and nylon), Trilene XT monofilament, and I'm currently giving different pure fluorocarbon lines a try as well.  (Using Cabelas right now.)  None of these lines are giving me fits with memory, including the Cabela's fluorocarbon.  When memory becomes a problem I just respool but this usually takes a few weeks to even a couple of months depending on the line.   After a few casts does the memory disappear?  If not, and if you haven't had it spooled for very long, I'd change brands.

Same ole answer...

For spinning gear:  Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (11.9 lb test).

Twist or memory?  They are 2 very different things.  No line will twist by itself and all mono lines will develop some memory.

Twist is a result of your reel or your rigging.  (or a big catfish!)  It is easily trolled out.

Memory is curly... and not usually a big problem in the heat of the summer, even with line that normally has lots of memory.

My last spool was stren to me it seemed to do weird things. Memory problems knots where they shouldn't be. I tried stren because I was using Trilene which wasn't working well for Carolina rigging. I was searching for tougher which I got but, paid the price on the other end limp and castability. :(

Best mono I've tried yet is Stren Magnathin.  It's the most managable mono on spinning rigs I've tried.

make sure to spool the line correctly if you are using a spinner, counterclockwise off of the spool, and trolling will smooth out any twist, let the line sit out for a few minutes while trolling without a lure on, just line

Thanks senile and Road warrior you just turned me onto something good. Got some today and tested on a nice sized bass. awsome line

Thanks to RW much more than me.  I started using Yo-Zuri hybrid ultra-soft a little over a year ago because of his recommendation.

Purchase your line from stores that hae a high turnover of the products.  Otherwise the line can be old as it just sits on the shelves.

Spool counterclockwise for spinning rigs.

Use a swivel if your line twist persists. This will help minimize the line twist, not eliminate it.

I will also PM you with the secret to stop line twist.
