I just won on eBay a brand new G Loomis IMX MBR844C for $152.50.  I really am not in need of a rod, but I couldn't pass up the price.  Therefore, I was wondering what application for those who have this rod find it most suitible for?

Hmm...

If I only had one rod, that's the one!   8-)

Since I have a couple of others  ::) I use mine primarily for fishing jigs, small swimbaits and as my main striper rod.

I'm jealous :)

That exact rod is going to be my "Christmas Bonus" to me.......and i asked almost the same question awhile back and got the same answers! I'm fishing a Shimano Crucial at the moment that's got a comparable action and I use it for everything from T-rigs to crankbaits and it works well for most everything.

Thanks for the responses.  I was thinking of using it for Carolina Rigs and heavier cover plastics.  I have an IMX MBR843C, which I use for more open water plastics, but I was thinking the MBR844C might be good for heavier cover situations.  I'm glad to see others are using the rod for the same applications I was hoping to use it for.  Thanks again.

I use my 843c for 3/8 oz baits and lighter and the 844c for 1/2 oz and heavier.
