Anyone have any of these, I checked out the banner and they have them on sale for 30. That price is right up my alley, but the old saying you get what you pay for  sits in the back of my mind. Is that a good deal or are they just cheap ( not inexpensive) rods. Thanks

I have one and I love it!  Great feel.  I paid 50 for mine 30 is a steal.  BTW...I don't own any g loomis rods or anything so I couldn't compare to a higher-end rod, but I really like my tourney special.

I have a 2 piece tourny special. It's pretty flimsy, but until I got some more expensive rods, I thought it was a great rod. I still use it for Crankbaits/Jerkbaits/Grubs and love catching a nice fish on it. For $30 , they're worth it.

If you're considering using this for soft plastics I'd hold off and save your money and get a BPS Extreme.  They're far more sensitive.

As for the tourney specials.  I've fished with them.  They're well built but they're like most BPS rods, heavier than the competitions.  The Tourney specials aren't particularly sensitive either.  Good for crankbaits, spinnerbaits or topwaters.

I have a 5'-6" pistol grip that I use for casting 1/2 and 3/8 sizes.  It works great with crankbaits, but I have never used it with plastics.

Totally worth the money, rods are a steal..... The MH's are some of the best buzzbait, spinnerbait mid- range rods on the market in my opinion.except they can be a little bulky to some people..cant beat the price, you can afford several lengths, and the action is perfect ....they are also set up so you can really sling a bait a good distance... I have owned and fished alot of highend rods tryng to find one i liked for wire baits...3 years later and i am still happy. I throw buzzers and spinnerbaits ALOT...
