topwater buzz Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Looking to buy another spinning reel setup. Currently have Shimano symetre and Shimano Clarus rod. Nice setup for me. Question at hand. Are Daiwa SS series spinnning reels worth the money? Too dated? For those who have any thoughts before I spend any more money let me know. Thanks! Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 11, 2007 Super User Posted August 11, 2007 Unless you can purchase it on sale I 'd say no, not that they are bad, on the contrary, they are very good but you can get a more modern technology reel for the same price. Quote
Super User .RM. Posted August 11, 2007 Super User Posted August 11, 2007 Daiwa SS Tournament I don't quit understand what Raul meant. This reel is up to date and has a very good reputation, on blue water and fresh. Just my .02¢ Tight Lines!!! Quote
