Ok, my Daiwas are outnumbering my Shimanos by two reels, this causes a very disturbing imbalance to The Force ( well, the Dark Side of it ;) ) , this disturbance has been bothering me for a while and clearly it needed a solution, two more Shimano reels to balance, but which ones ? at first I thought about the new Japanese Metanium MG in both versions to contrarest the imbalance, but at 39,000 yens plus shipping per skull ........ :-?. Then Shimano decides to offer almost the same reel but with a sharp looking metallic black finish with an anodized spool in red ( kool factor +1 ), the question was WHEN ? !!!

The gods of tackle junkiness have heard my prairs and just as fast as it was unveiled at ICAST this past week that little on-line store out from San Luis Obispo, Kaliforny already has the 6.2:1 version in stock.

Needless to say that the BM has gone wild ( as usual ::( ) and now he 's drooling and foaming like a rabid dawg right over my shoulder. :-/

The new Core looks sweet but at $350 I'm thinking Calais.

If the bait monkey demands extreme satisfaction and balance to the force, how about a Calais DC and a new Stella.

Baitmonkey   Raul, I am your Lure father

Raul             Yes, master

Baitmonkey  This unbalance of the force must be corrected.  Diawas to Shimano ratio is causing a

                  distarbance of the force.

Raul             How do I correct this disturbance Master Monkey

Baitmonkey  Buy 3 shimano reels

Raul             Yes master. But 2 will correct the balance master

Baitmonkey  Yes but your good buddy Gman needs to balance the force too.  Thats where the 3rd

                  comes in.

Raul             Yeah Right :;)

Baitmonkey  Obey the baitmonkey!! dont mock the baitmonkey or it will be 50 more mega bass lures.

I just saw one of those new Metaniums on another forum.  The guy had used it like once or twice and didn't like it. He was asking $290.

I already had a Calais 100A, magnificent reel, my only beef was the weight of the reel. I said had because Calais 100A is no longer in my possesion.
