Super User Sam Posted July 12, 2007 Super User Posted July 12, 2007 Those new reels are beautiful. I bought a Stradic 2500 MgFa this summer and love it. What a reel. I also just broke the bail on my little Spirex 2000 after two years of use and catching so many fish with it including big bass and catfish. I am having it repaired. That Sustain and the Stella look great. Maybe I will get the Stella for Christmas in lieu of the electric spooling equipment. Maybe I will get both! I am getting to like the Shimano 2500 models for bass fishing. What models do you guys like the best? Quote
Super User burleytog Posted July 12, 2007 Super User Posted July 12, 2007 I agree, the new Sustain is stunning. I use a Spirex 2000 and a few Stradic 2500's. There might be a new Stradic or two in my future. Quote
Captain Cali Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 That new Stradic 1000 Mg has my name all over it! 8-) Quote
GAMEOVER Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Im more interested in their Core casters and Cumara rods. I think ill go with the MG7 over the Core though just for the bearing supported knobs. I was thinking about the Crucial lineup for beater sticks (beater only meaning sticks I can use and not worry about and not bad) but there Cumara line up is going to be nice with SiC guides, stealth hook hanger, high mod blank, etc. So Shimano lovers your company is going to shine this year. For you extreme Shimano nuts (I know this forum has lots of them) and for the extreme enthusiasts like myself you can get their scorpion line up of rods from Japan. They're pricey though at 4-600 bucks but thats what we pay for when searching for that extra edge. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted July 13, 2007 Super User Posted July 13, 2007 dangit! now I'm upset that I just bought a Stradic. I wish I had known new ones would be coming out so I could have waited and got the newer model. Quote
Guest avid Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 All of these reels will feature our Propulsion line management and Paladin Gear Durability Enhancements. All but the Saros reel will feature our Areowrap 2 oscillation system OOOOOH baby, I love it when you talk like that Quote
