Well, the guys who replied to my last rod and reel question helped BIG! I ordered the Stradic / Extreme combo, and fell in love. I throw shaky head with it none stop for the most part. It's a M 6'6 rod.

Now it's time to get another rod and reel to further my versatility and so I can start throwing other things as well.

I'm starting to get very into jigs, and have a cheapo baitcaster that works decent it's a shimano rod and reel so it can't be too bad although it's very old and hardly used. I've thrown some jigs on it, but wouldn't mind getting a nice rod for 3/8 and 1/2 jigs but can't spend over $125 . Also, what could I use this shimano rod/reel for if I did get another BC?

I just got into throwing hard jerkbaits and I'm not too sure what rod is best to use for these.

I also have a 6'6 2piece ML Tourny Series rod from BPS , what is good to use this for? I have how flimsy it is all the way to the bottom, no back bone and the whole thing feels floppy, not sure what to use this rod for anymore. I've just been using it for 5 in grubs..

I was also thinking about just picking up another Extreme rod but in the MH 6'6 due to the fact I like the rod so much. I can use the M for Drop shotting and the MH for shaky head?

Anyway, I just need help decided on what to get for my next rod and reel, or just rod (I have another extra Sedona reel to throw on a spinning combo).

Thanks for any help!

Rod & reel combo for less than $125:

Daiwa Procaster 6+1 ( PR100H/HL ) & BPS 6 '6"  MH Bionic Blade combo.

Make those ML rods into great finesse & crankbait rods.

Eh it's only one ML Rod, and it's a slow action so the entire rod is too flimsy for me to fish finesse stuff. I use my M 6'6 for finesse and such.

I'm going to use the ML for crankbaits and grubs and such.

I have that Daiwa Procaster saved right now I was looking at it last night and wanted to ask what everyone thought about it. I guess it must be good if you posted it before I asked ;)

After looking a bit more, I also found the BPS extreme rod witha Extreme REEL for the same price as the Daiwa Procaster with the Bionic blade.. Isn't the Extreme rod a step up from the Blade?

has anyone heard of the Extreme Reel, and is the high ratio good for jigs or is lower better? I posted it below. Which one is better for fishing jigs 3/8-1/2oz and the occasional 3/4 swimbait?
