Nick Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Let us know if BPS replaces a three year old rod. I'm curious. By the way, how did it get broken? Quote
midnight_madness Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 I was fishing a jig, using short hops, i felt a hit, when i reeled down to take the slack out of the line and set the hook it snapped as i was trying to set the hook :'( about 12-16 inches down on the rod Quote
Al Wolbach Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 The BPS where I work (Sevierville, Tn) will replace a BPS rod for 1 year from sale. There is a code on each BPS rod that provides the month/year of manufacture. It is located next to the info on the butt end of the rod and very easy to overlook. It is a letter and number, for example A5 would translate to Jan 2005, B6 to Feb 2006, etc......................Al Quote
moby bass Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 That code wouldn't indicate the date it was sold. That rod could sit in the store for a year or more before someone bought it. Quote
