Which japan reel would you buy?

Looking at the shimano stella 2000 and the daiwa certate 2000 made in japan,us

reel is not made in the model 2000 and i need the extra line capacity.What is the

model 2506 finesse custom certate anyone? :-?

You can forget that reel, as a matter of fact, you can eliminate any 2506 model reel from your list of wannabes, all 2506 models are shallow spool models and i need the extra line capacity are preciselly what those reels are not which also includes any Shimano JDM with the letter "S" at the end of the size models, those are also shallow spool models.

Shallow spool models are for thin diameter line line 3-4-5-6 pound test japanese fluorocarbon lines which are very thin or for PE line ( japanese braided ) no higher than 15 lb test.

The domestic Stella 2500FB has plenty of line capacity, really much more than I prefer. Spooling #6 (.010") or #4 (.009") Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft, the reel holds 170-200 yards of line! This is far more than necessary for bass fishing.

Saw the line capacity on the finese after i posted it along with daiwa making a us 2000

model reel but shimano does not.I need a little larger reel to hold 8 lb test better than

my current stella 1000 can with a slightly larger spool but not as big as a 2500 series.

The line capacity of the Custom Certate 2506 is 4 lb/110 ( 0.205 mm dia ), 8 lb test .... the thinnest I can find ( Magnathin ) is 0.23 mm in dia = 98 yards of Magnathin, other 8 lb lines are 0.28 mm or more.
