I ended up with one and just curious what they are good for and when. It is graphite. Been throwing cranks that run from 8-16 feet with it...but starting to think it could be costing me some fish.

I have a 6'6" ML casting rod that I use for topwater and shallow (<4 ft) crankbaits.  I wouldn't think a ML would have the muscle for deeper crankbaits.

I probably wouldnt throw anything bigger than a #5 shad rap with something that light.
