ok guys i am considering the switch to braid and have a few questions., 1.what is your favorite/best braided line, 2. what advantages does braid have over mono and what should i us it for, and 3.if i use 8# test mono is 8# braid the same or stronger than the mono

I use stren super braid. I'm still a braided line novice but I like the texture better than spiderwire and powerpro. Power pro and Spiderwire feel like dental floss and Spiderwire tends to shred. I don't know anything about which one is better but I don't like the shredding effect.

I used power pro for 5 years before switching to the new Spiderwire stealth. I really like it for what i use it for. Also keeps its color alot better than other braids... Use 12 lb dia. 50lb test. on one of my flipping/frog rods.

All my other reels have P-line Cx and P-flourocarbon.

I use PP for grass in 12 lb test diamater 30 lb test ,but then again i only fish grass about 1% of the time 8-)

PP = 1st and Suffix = 2nd for me

Briad is more sentitivity and strength with a lower line diameter compared to mono, no stretch and can take a beating

Power Pro was the only line I ever put on a spinning reel

that completely killed my interest in all other lines.

A better line I'm not looking for.
