Super User burleytog Posted May 24, 2007 Super User Posted May 24, 2007 Junk. If you want cheap line, buy Big Game. Quote
kms399 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I wouldn't say junk, i have used it and it was ok. better than trilene but thats not saying much. it is very strong and pretty cheap based on that it's not bad. however it does seem to have high memory and is really stiff. it has it's uses I know a few people that love it for river fishing. I would suggest going with suffix or gamma instead but you will never know if you dont try it. Quote
phase5supply Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 6. Quote
mike bat Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 i dont know that the line is JUNK ..... i can say cajun red liting is crappy .... however cajun red cast is more than likey one of the best mono lines ..... well best monos i ever used ,,,, easy casting ,,,, good strength ,,, LOW MEMORY ..... i wont say that the red line is invisable ,,, but i never have trouble catching fish with it ..... i also do alotta bank fishing so i need a line that can handle rock and wood .... cajun red cast has done a great job so far ..... imo grab a spool of red cast .... i use 8-10 on my spinning gear and 10-14 on casting ,,, thats just what i like ... Super User dodgeguy Posted May 24, 2007 Super User Posted May 24, 2007 when talking about cajun red line we have to say which cajun red line we are talking about.red cast is imho the best mono made.it is super limp and has close to no memory for a mono.red lightning is like wire.i have never used cajun advantage which is their co-poly so i cannot comment.most people who hate cajun red have used red lightning and not even known the others exist.it's like saying all trilene is the same. Ky_Lake_Dude Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Instead of cajun I would get some Berkely Big Game, Sufix, or Stren. Quote
