preemptive strike Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I am getting a BPS extreme and I live in Ohio. I can catch up to 6# LMB. What are the advantages of having a 7' rod over a 6'6" rod? A Medium action or medium heavy? A 1 piece or 2 piece? I have a spinning president 6740 reel Thanks Quote
hookset Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 These are good rods. I think you will get more versitility out of a 6'6 medium action 1pc. rod. You will be happy with the way this rod performs. Quote
preemptive strike Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 Okay thats what I was thinking. Thanks I will buy it tomorrow. Quote
Cephkiller Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Okay thats what I was thinking. Thanks I will buy it tomorrow. I really likeone piece rods (just one less thing to worry about), but if you ever carry your rods in any vehicle except a truck, the two piece are really nice. BTW, I agree with the 6'6" M. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I just bought two BPS Extremes and couldn't be happier. 7' medium heavy, and 7' heavy. My first time using 7' rods and I'm loving it. (both are 1 piece) PS, they fit in my F150 just fine, and LBH's Jetta Quote
