its kind of out of the norm, but I bet a hungry fish would strike that thing if it were hungry. It doesn;t look any stranger than a chattr bait or a buzzbait

It is rather odd but my supposition would be that there are many states where small bats still reside. Austin Texas is one these many places. So my thinking is that if perhaps one of these small creatures were injured while out chasing its forage and it ended up on top water flippin', floppin', etc.; why wouldn't a bass eat it? My guess is that they would.

Looks like this guy has purchased a bunch of plastic animal toys from some dollar store and put hooks on them.

Perhaps that is all that it is.... a toy with a hook but if it will work, why not use it? LOL. I sat and wathced a TV show just about 45 minutes ago where a lady took a pink colored ear plug, stuck a hook thru it, feathered in a few blades of yellowish grass into the body, and stuck a brown leaf on the hook. She caught a pretty nice fish with it and had her dinner served to her by the guys she made a bet with.

I'm not willing to speculate whether that lure will work on bass or not, but I have seen, first hand, a rubber duck and various fake rodents catch nice northern pike.

I'm sure that thing can catch fish in the right circumstances but it does look ridiculous. It's a friggin toy with a treble on it! ;D ;D ;D

If I'm going to use something strange then it should be made for fishing. Bat or cicada, bass can't tell

the difference.

May not be a weird lure after all... bats swoop down over bodies of water to eat insects all the time (they do it at my pond), I wouldn't doubt a hungry enough largemouth bass would jump out of the water to grab a bat or cicada to eat. Matter of fact, down at my pond, there's constantly bass jumping out to grab 3" long dragon flies.

You can catch bass with almost anything but I wouldn't even touch that stupid looking thing never mind fish with it! ;)

my buddy paul saw a bat hit the water and start flopping around then got engulfed by a huge bass. so then he went searching for "bat lures" and his best result was a double bladed black buzzbait. he tried that a few nights later and shur nuff he landed himself an 8lb bass.

now that just goes to show that bass will attack a bat.....as for my opinion...this lure is a piece of cow dookey. LOL! seriously...for one, it wouldnt float, for two, it'd have no action, and for three, it'd fall apart!!!!!!!!! lol what a joke.

I watched a video the other day of a guy catching fish on a jalapeno pepper with a hook in it.
