Black Bass Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Price not being a consideration, which would you buy or which did you buy? Thanks Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 hEY BOTH ARE GREAT iF YOU DONT MIND OPENING THE REEL TO ADJUST BRAKES i LIKE THE pRES BETTER tHERE IS A GUY ON THE FLEA MARKET SELLING A sUPREME FOR 80 AND A pRES FOR 40 id jump on that!!!!!!!!! I ACTUALLY WAS BUT I W TRADED REELS TO GET MY 2ND TRION ALREADY : Quote
Thefishy1 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Go with the Supreme, I have one and it is much better than the president. It is sits lower on the rod (I've heard complaints about the pres sitting too high in the reel seat), 2 ounces less, has the added magnetic braking system which I love and adds for a more fine tuned setting than just 4 centrifugal brake settings, It can cast smaller lures much better than the pres, and I am sure that I missed some more, but overall the supreme is much better. linesider7 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Don't mean to throw a wrench in the middle of this wheel, but I bought the Summit for my toad rod. Love it. The Presidents, as mentioned before, feel a little "tall" for me. I have not fished a Supreme. Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted May 7, 2007 Super User Posted May 7, 2007 they are all fine reels.if money was no object i'd get the summit.but the supreme is great also.i'd only get the summit because it's the smallest and lightest of the three. Quote

Guest the_muddy_man Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 I happened to be at Cabela's after reading this The supreme is sweet. I have never owned either but I have a Trion and I couldnt really imagine anything being better than that. But the Supreme felt like some day Im gonna be out a 140 down the road a piece! Quote
